What You'll Do:

Primary Job Function
 
 
Experience in FDA regulated manufacturing, consumer packaged goods or similar experience required.  This role requires on average 25% domestic travel.

Deploy and support manufacturing systems across Abbott Nutrition’s global supply chain. As a key member of the Regional Division Engineering team, provide technical consulting support to manufacturing operations and large capital projects across eight manufacturing facilities throughout North America. 
 

Oversight of installation and integration of manufacturing systems including wet, aseptic and powder processing, utilities, filling, and secondary packaging: 

  • PLC programming in Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix platforms 

  • HMI/SCADA programming in FactoryTalk View SE/ME, Ignition, iFix 

  • Temperature / pressure / level / conductivity / PH / vibration instrumentation, sensors, and other field I/O devices 

  • Manufacturing networks and electrical MCCs and PDUs 

As part of a cross-functional project team, lead or assist with electrical control system design projects including, but not limited to: 

  • Preparing cost estimates, bid packages and outlining equipment specifications 

  • Participating in the design of P&ID diagrams and electrical schematics 

  • Managing the design and construction of industrial control systems 

  • Developing validation and commissioning protocols and executing factory and site acceptance tests for constructed equipment or systems 

  • Provide post-startup support for constructed equipment and systems  

 
What You'll Bring:

Minimum Education  

  • A Bachelors Degree in Engineering or closely related discipline, or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence. 

  • 5+ years of applicable engineering experience in FDA regulated environment.  T 

Background Skills/Knowledge  

  • Experience in FDA regulated manufacturing, consumer packaged goods or similar experience required. 

  • Experience with validation or commissioning documentation required 

  • Experience with vision and inspection systems or similar technology preferred. 

  • Experience with large capital project delivery and working on a cross-functional project team preferred. 



The base pay for this position is $71,300.00 – $142,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
