Abbott has an exciting opportunity for a Market Access Lead, Early Pipeline and Launch to join our organization within the Rapid Diagnostics Division in Lake Forest, IL, or San Diego, CA.

Our rapid diagnostics solutions are helping address some of the world’s greatest healthcare challenges. This highly strategic role provides the opportunity to lead global market access strategy for an early pipeline asset as well as on market products.
What You’ll Work On
TheMarket Access Lead, Early Pipeline and Launch, will be responsible for developing Global Market Access strategies and deliverables for priority pipeline and on-market products within the Infectious Disease portfolio.
Leads the global market access strategy for a suite of early-stage and pipeline assets within infectious diseases
Conducts HTA early scientific advice, market research, and external expert exchanges to understand access evidence requirements and key value drivers to inform clinical, HEOR, medical, and market access strategies
Develops and executes access strategies to support reimbursement, coverage, and launch readiness across multiple developed markets
Shapes global value communications, such as value propositions, that align with value drivers across payors and policymakers
Performs evidence gap analyses and develops mitigation plans for priority markets
Chairs Value & Access Teams and is the market access lead on the Go To Market teams, collaborating closely with Clinical, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Insights and Regulatory
Presents strategic recommendations to senior leadership, influence key business and launch decisions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
10+ years of experience market access, pricing, or health economics with strong early pipeline and / or pre-launch experience
Proven experience across multiple developed markets (ideally two or more of: U.S., Germany, Japan, U.K.)
Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Demonstrated agility, problem-solving ability, and a results-driven mindset.
Ability to translate complex clinical data into impactful access messaging.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred background in infectious disease, specialty therapeutics, or rare disease; experience in medical technology, diagnostics, vaccines, or STIs a plus
Proven ability to work across cultures and geographies in a matrixed environment.
MBA or advanced degree a plus.
Global experience preferred; strong European experience also considered.

The base pay for this position is $148,700.00 – $297,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
