THE OPPORTUNITY

This Cybersecurity Engineer position can work out in one of the following locations: Alameda (CA), Bend (OR), Chicago (IL), or Orlando (FL).

Cybersecurity Specialist monitors and maintains the security detection for a variety of products in order to minimize risks to the business and consumers. Subject Matter Expert in cybersecurity topics and technologies, ensuring a strong cybersecurity posture for our ADC R&D product software portfolio. Front line employee in preventing and responding cybersecurity incidents in our software or embedded software products.


What You’ll Work On

  • Develop, implement and maintain secure, resilient enterprise-grade cloud processes for one or more software and systems in tandem with architects and system engineers.

  • Work together with development operations and development teams to develop and implement monitoring and security solutions in stand-alone and embedded product software and supporting applications.

  • Secure one or more applications and up to thousands of computing environments across public, private, or hybrid cloud infrastructures.

  • Protect applications in compliance with multiple global privacy, security, business resiliency, and compliance frameworks.

  • Respond and manage breach and incident response activities for product and supporting applications.

  • Actively monitor, assess, recommend, and lead tactical and strategic initiatives based on new and emerging threats posing risks to cloud computing environments.

  • Lead remediation efforts after security assessment findings outline weaknesses requiring attention.

  • Work with a variety of cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.

  • Support Audit Readiness during external and internal Audit Activities

  • Ensure compliance with business continuity management policies and processes in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and maintain incident response, guidelines, and procedures

  • Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic reviews.

  • Implement and maintain security controls.

  • Conduct threat and risk analysis and analyze the business impact of new and existing systems and technologies to eliminate risk, performance, and capacity issues.

  • Keep up to date with the current and security industry best practice guidance.

  • Attend regular project and implementation meetings and serve as the security operations consultant to help guide secure practices.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field


  • 0-5 years of cybersecurity or IT management system experience with a strong preference for product security experience (consumer-facing apps and services)

  • Hold one or more cybersecurity certifications, including CySA+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or additional AWS advanced certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, VMware Certified Professional, or have completed necessary cyber coursework.

  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to position controls in anticipation of threats.

The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 – $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
