The Opportunity  

This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we're focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

The Associate 1 works under direct supervision. They will be responsible for maintenance activities relating to equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.

What You’ll Work On 

  • Install ergonomic workstation equipment as needed.
  • Set up and breakdown of short-term event equipment as needed.
  • Respond to and set up conference rooms for various meeting room configurations.
  • Responsible for carrying basic repairs and maintenance of machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Conducts simple checks to ensure that machines are in good working conditions.
  • May perform general maintenance and plumbing work.
  • Performs cubicle and office set up including installing computer monitors and monitor supports.
  • Perform office moves by assembling desks or cubicles or disassembling for maintenance purpose.
  • Assist facilities staff with PMs and routine maintenance.
  • Replacement of lightbulbs or drop in lighting fixtures.
  • Moving office items between buildings using company vehicle.
  • Help managing efficient use of storage spaces at various buildings on campus.
  • Assist with escorting vendors while on site and ensuring Abbott policies are complied with.
  • Utilize CMMS program to log and track work orders and complete tasks on time.
  • Develops knowledge and skills over time.

Required Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Proficient with basic hand tools.

The base pay for this position is $24.45 – $48.95 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
